Serious Business. Serious Fun.  You’ll find both in the Lake Norman region.

Named for the largest man-made lake in North Carolina which forms the region’s western border, the Lake Norman region is a fast-growing area just 15 miles north of Charlotte. The towns of Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson are conveniently located along interstate 77 in north Mecklenburg County, and offer unsurpassed quality of life to their 60,000 residents.

Serious Business.  Major companies are discovering the Lake Norman region. Many companies including Ingersoll-Rand, Prairie Packaging, Rubbermaid, Joe Gibbs Racing, and others call the Lake Norman region home. And there is plenty of room for your company. With an inventory of more than 1,000 acres in planned and zoned business and industrial parks, the region can accommodate almost any corporate requirement. From first-class office sites and buildings to industrial/manufacturing sites, a wide variety of product is available. And more sites and buildings are being developed almost daily. The three towns have joined forces to make sure appropriate sites continue to be available for economic development for years to come. And they have a proven track record of successfully competing to attract major companies to choose the Lake Norman region for their new facilities.

Serious Fun.  Quality of life is an important consideration to locating companies and the Lake Norman region offers the best lifestyle available in the Charlotte area. Recent population growth in the three towns of north Mecklenburg County underscores the high quality of life offered by the region, and strengthens the labor pool from which companies draw employees. From urban settings to rural estates, the Lake Norman region offers a wide variety of home styles. Numerous parks, recreational areas and golf courses offer a pleasing counterpoint to the fast-paced urban life style found in near-by Charlotte. And there’s the lake – 32,510 acres of water with 520 miles of waterfront offer unsurpassed living and recreational opportunities.

The Lake Norman region has it all: serious business and serious fun. Doesn’t that sound like a place you would like to live and work? To find out more about locating your company here, please contact the Lake Norman Regional Economic Development Corp. for free, confidential assistance to meet your corporate expansion needs.
